The Opals Team Announced for the World Championships in Germany

The Opals team for the World Championships in Germany starting may was announced on March 31st.

The team is :-

Michele Timms (Phoenix)
Sandy Brondello (Germany)
Kristi Harrower (Melbourne)
Jo Hill (Adelaide)
Rachel Sporn (Adelaide)
Carla Porter (Adelaide)
Alison Cook (Bulleen)
Jenny Whittle (Perth)
Lauren Jackson (AIS)

The four players to miss out from the squad were Shelley Sandie, Rohanee Cox, Gina Stevens and Jae Kingi. Member from the Australian bronze medal winning Olympic team, Trish Fallon, was unavailable because she only recently gave birth to her daughter.

The Team will now play a tournament in Japan which will include the current Olympic champions, the United States, as well as China and Japan. Stay tuned to this site for results.
